Parts of the Campaign Information Page

Here's a quick explanation of the elements of the campaign information page.

Introduction to the Campaign Information Page

When a campaign has just been created, it has no items.  The campaign is inactive (hidden from the End User), indicated by the red bar next to the name. The display information for the campaign can be edited by clicking the gear icon after the name. New Campaign Items will be added by clicking on the “Add New” button and will appear on the left side of the page (gray box).

Parts of the Campaign Information Page

  • The bar next to the name indicates the campaign's status as active (green) or inactive (red).
  • The gear is the link to edit the campaign information.
  • The “Add New” button is where you will add content, either assets/templates (called Campaign Items) or other campaigns. Clicking this button will bring up a dropdown to select which type you wish to add:
  • The left side of the Campaign Information page is where campaign items are displayed. When a campaign item is selected, the right side of the page will display that campaign item's information.

Campaign Information Page Details Back End

This image shows a campaign with a sample of each of the three Campaign Item types: a campaign, a template and an asset.

Each item has its own line on the page.  Items may be re-ordered by clicking and dragging on the dotted bar to the left of the Active/Inactive line.

  • Line: Indicates active/inactive. If this item is a campaign, it is set by start/end date within the Campaign Management page OR by having no items inside it. If it is a template or asset, it is set by start/end date set within the settings on this page (see next section).
  • Name: name of the asset, template or campaign. If this item is a template, the name is a link to edit the template. If the item is a campaign, the name is a link to the campaign. If the item is an asset, there is no link. In the image above, the first item is a campaign, the second item is a template and the last item is an asset.
  • Description:  Campaign Items have descriptions, just like campaigns do. This information is edited within the information form on the right side of the page (see next section).
  • Action Buttons:
    • Clock: expires the template or asset (next section).
    • Trash Can:  Deletes the item/asset/campaign from the campaign (but not from the system).
    • Gear:  Brings up template/asset information to edit (applies to templates and assets only).

Campaign Page Front-End

Here is what the campaign looks like on the front end to the End User. Notice that the campaign button has a “stacked” background, which indicates that there are additional materials inside it.  The information displayed inside each button is added as part of the Campaign Item information.
