Favoriting campaigns and campaign items makes navigating to frequently used content easy.
All users in the CampaignDrive platform can utilize the My Favorites area in the My Stuff navigation bar dropdown menu to favorite campaigns or campaign items that they frequently use. Users can favorite campaigns/campaign items by clicking on the heart icon next to the campaign item thumbnail.
By clicking the heart icon, this will automatically add that campaign/campaign item to the My Favorites area. (Shown below)
Enabling "My Favorites"
The "My Favorites" feature is permission-based. It is activated by the "Can view favorites" permission. Any role with this permission activated will be able to view the My Favorites page. Note that the heart icon is still visible and may be clicked without this permission, just the navigation link to view favorites will be disabled. It is a recommended best practice to allow this permission for all user types.
Notes about the My Favorites behavior when System Administrators make changes to campaigns/campaign items:
- When a campaign/campaign item is deleted, that favorite will be removed from all user's My Favorites queues.
- When a campaign/campaign item is made inactive, the favorite remains in the My Favorites area and users are still able to open and customize it.
- When a campaign item is expired, the favorite will show the latest version of the campaign item.
- If a campaign item is "moved" (by deleting and recreating the campaign item in another campaign), then the campaign item would need to be re-favorited in its new location.
