Setting Up a Longform Template in a Campaign
"Longform" is an End User interface that can be used to tie multiple master templates together into a larger document. The Longform interface is form-based and is chosen during Campaign Item creation. The initial set of templates in a Longform template is chosen from the Master template list. Additional templates may be added later from either the master list or by cloning an existing template within the Longform template.
Longform Toggle
Longform templates are based on the Print Template type; Print Template must be chosen for the longform toggle to be applicable.
The Longform Template? is then selected to activate additional Longform setup.
Longform Initial Template Selection
Select one or more templates from the Master Template selection list. Note that any template can be used in a Longform template. Upon initial selection, only one version of any given template can be added. Additional copies of a template can be added after the initial selection by either re-selecting the same master template or cloning the existing campaign version.
Longform Template Editing
- Individual templates are edited by clicking on the name of the template
- Templates are re-ordered by drag-and-drop.
- Additional master templates (or additional copies of an existing master template) can be added by selecting them from the master list and saving the campaign item.
- Additional copies of existing templates can be created by cloning the Campaign template from the Campaign tab of the Layout Composition table.
- Templates can be deleted by clicking the trash can in the content item list.
Note that this will also delete the template from the Campaign tab of the Layout Composition table (this is a different behavior from a regular campaign template). Clone the template to a master from the Campaign tab of the Layout Template composition table before deletion if you want to save that template for later use.
