Overview of the End User Experience for Location Section Styles
For a Location section style, the End User experience takes place after selecting the template but before entering the Studio Compose environment. When an End User clicks on a template for customizing that has a location section style applied, an intermediary page is displayed:
The locations on the left are the locations the End User has access to. The number of locations that can be selected is dependent on the templates the System Administrator has set up.
Populating Location Information
Choose a location by clicking the check box to the left of the location name. The search and sort functions can be used to find locations and to view current selections. Once the locations have been chosen, click the Customize button.
The template will open with the selected locations populated according to the layouts specified by the location section style template for the chosen number of locations. In this case, one location populated.
To change the selected locations or to choose a different number of locations, the End User will need to use the browser's Back button or simply close the template to start over with a new location selection.
Location Tags and Location Section Styles
It is possible to have location tags and a location section style template on the same template. Make sure to test this experience to make sure it makes sense to the End User.
Notes on Images
There are no tagging options for images to be associated with the locations themselves. Image layers may be present on location section style templates as static images or managed via content groups.
One Location Section Style
It is possible to allow only 1 location to be selected in a location section style. This technique is used so an End User can select any location for the template, rather than automatically populating the template with the location they are currently logged in as.
