Scott Powers brings more than 20 years of financial management experience with both private and public companies to the Pica9 Board of Directors. He has advised the company on methods to streamline financial reporting and implement additional accounting best practices.
Currently, Scott is the CFO of VoltDB, a venture backed, in-memory, operational database company located in Bedford, Massachusetts. Prior to joining VoltDB, Scott held financial leadership positions with other software and services companies, including Jumptap, a leading mobile advertising company he helped guide through its acquisition by Millennial Media (NASDAQ: MM), Brightcove (NASDAQ: BCOV) and Q1 Labs, a network security software company where he played a key role in the acquisition by IBM (NYSE: IBM). Prior to Q1 Labs, he spent more than ten years in finance with iBasis, the first commercial voice-over-IP telecommunication carrier, which grew from $0 to over $1b in revenue during his tenure. Scott played a key role in iBasis’ IPO and multiple acquisitions, and ultimately helped guide the company through an acquisition by KPN (AMS: KPN).
