Since 2001, Mr. Buresh was Executive Vice President of Bozell. Prior to the acquisition of True North by Interpublic, he served as President of Bozell Kamstra, a network of six affiliated offices. During his nine-year tenure there, Bozell Kamstra grew from an agency with $20 million in billings to a network of agencies with combined billings of $375 million and revenue of $65 million.
Previously, Mr. Buresh was Executive Vice President of Gage Marketing in Minneapolis, responsible for their sales promotion agency in 1995-1997 before returning to Kamstra when it was purchased by True North and became Bozell Kamstra.
Mr. Buresh is a recipient of the 1996 Silver Medal Award, the Advertising Federation of Minnesota’s highest honor. He has served as president of the Advertising Federation of Minnesota and the Communications Industry Coalition, which led the successful fight against an advertising sales tax. He was also chairman of the Twin Cities Chapter of the American Association of Advertising Agencies.
In 2001 and 2002 he served as the Worldwide Chairman of BPA International, an organization that audits over 4,000 B2B and consumer publications and interactive sites around the world and currently remains on the Board and Executive Committee. Mr. Buresh was appointed President and CEO of Marketing Drive Worldwide, effective March 1, 2003.
Mr. Buresh also serves on the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota) Graduate Business School Steering Committee for Media Management.
An alumnus of the University of Iowa, Mr. Buresh received both a B.A. and an M.A. in Communications. He also holds a Masters Degree in Finance from Loyola University in Chicago. He served in the US Army Infantry from 1970-1972 as a commissioned officer.
